Parent/Carer Support and Advice - Wakefield Parent Carer Forum

Wakefield Parent Carer Forum is an independent organisation that supports families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), aged 0 -25, living in the Wakefield area. 

The forum is led by local parents and carers who work together to share experiences and represent the views of families, children and young people. 

How the service supports

The forum works in partnership with local services, including commissioners and providers to:

• Share the views and experiences of families
• Influence the development and improvement of services
• Promote participation and co-production

The aim is to help improve services and outsomes for children and young people with SEND and their families across Wakefield.
