Health - CAMHS - Enhanced Outreach Team (EOT)

The Enhanced Outreach Team (EOT) provides mental health support for children and young people in care, as well as support for their care-givers and the professionals working with them.

The aim of the service is to offer timely assessment and appropriate therapeutic support based on individual needs.

How the service supports

The team provides:

  • Mental health assessments
  • Targeted therapeutic interventions
  • Support for carers and professionals

Their work focuses on helping children and young people experience safe, stable and nurturing environments that support their wellbeing and development.

Working with complex needs

The team also supports children and young people who may display behaviours linked to underlying mental health needs, including those with experiences such as early developmental trauma.

Where there are additional concerns, including behaviours of a forensic nature, the team works closely with other services, including:

  • Forensic CAMHS (F-CAMHS)
  • Emotional Wellbeing Team (EWBT)
  • Youth Offending Team (YOT)

This joined-up approach ensures that support is coordinated and responsive to individual circumstances.
