Summer Playschemes

About

The Summer Play Scheme Groups are for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 5 to 17 years old and are organised by Wakefield Council. The summer groups will offer children and young people in Wakefield the opportunity to enjoy group activities in a supportive and safe environment. The Council has a long track record of successful schemes and received great feedback from attendees.

Transport

As in the previous few years, transport to and from a playscheme is not provided.

Preparations are currently underway for the 2026 summer playschemes. Please check back closer to the time for updates as details are still being confirmed.
