WISENDSS Our Mission

We are ambitious for our children and young people . We want all our children and young people to thrive, to be happy, healthy and to achieve their potential in their educational setting.

  • We are Inclusion/Advisory Teachers and specialist non-teaching staff
  • We have experience and knowledge of SEND in mainstream and specialist education settings; we use this to support your child’s setting.
  • Each setting has a named Inclusion/Advisory Teacher as their point of contact.
  • Our staff work across a ‘cluster area’ of the local authority. Each teacher has a group of settings where they are the first point of contact.
  • We use our experience and knowledge to help settings decide what to do now and how to support in the future .
  • We help support the child or young person to take part and have their voice heard.
  • We work closely with other agencies  and professionals to help meet children’s needs.  (EYFS, Schools and Post 16)
