EFA Section 41 Approved List

Approved Independent Educational Institutions

For some children and young people there may be times when their needs cannot be met by a local mainstream provider and a more specialist provider may be more appropriate.

Section 41 of the Childrens and Families Act 2014 allows the Secretary of State to publish a list of approved independent educational institutions, independent special schools and post-16 institutions. A factsheet has been produced by the Education Funding Agency (EFA) which gives details of what must apply for providers to be included on the list which you can download below.
